Our family had the good fortune to take a sabbatical in France in 2001. With our two children, we spent months exploring Paris, learning the French culture and language, and enjoying its cuisine, architecture, and people. As a natural outgrowth of our interest in real estate and architecture we purchased a pied-a-terre. Realizing that we also wanted to share our love and appreciation of France with others, we spent time over the next several years finding the perfect apartments to rent on a short term basis. We are always more than happy to provide information, tips, and advice to help make your stay in Paris wonderful.

Paris to the Moon
Adam Gopnik

The comic-romantic adventures of an American family in Paris is penned by "The New Yorker" writer and author of the magazine's popular "Paris Journal" column. The private story is rooted in the sentimental reeducation of a weary American through the experience of his son's childhood in France.

The Piano Shop On the Left Bank
T.E. Carhart

Walking his two young children to school every morning, expatriate Thad Carhart passes an unassuming little storefront in his Paris neighborhood that seems to hide rather than advertise its wares. One day, intrigued by its simple sign--Desforges Pianos--and the arcane collection of repair tools in its curtained window, he enters, only to have his way barred by the atelier's imperious owner. But, unable to stifle his curiosity, he finally lands the proper introduction and the doors open to the quartier's most intriguing hangout. On Fridays the hidden back of the shop, crammed full of dismantled pianos, becomes an improbable cafe, where locals--from university professors to car mechanics--gather to discuss music, love, and life over a glass of wine.

A Moveable Feast
Ernest Hemingway

A Moveable Feast is a set of memoirs by author Ernest hemingway about his years in Paris as part of the American expatriate circle of writers in the 1920's. Published after his death, it is considered by many to contain some of his best writing. He provides the detail of specific addresses of cafes, bars, hotels, and apartments that can still be found in modern day Paris.
